Is it safe?

Both our Zoom! dental procedure and home whitening kits are completely safe. The bleach used has been tested and proven to be suitable for every type of client although some dark staining or damage may not be erased through whitening alone.

Who performs the procedure?

The procedure is carried out by our qualified dentist. All of our practitioners are trained in administering our treatments and have many years of experience in dentistry. They also carry professional insurance.

Is it painful?

There may be slight discomfort when gum moulds are fitted and you may experience some sensitivity after the treatment however, this can be easily eradicated with desensitising toothpaste.

How long does it take?

Our exclusive Zoom! treatment takes little more than an hour and produces amazing results. You can book to visit on your lunch hour and return to work with a whiter, brighter smile.

Depending on the bleaching agent recommended by our clinicians, the specially fitted home kit gum tray will be worn for a few hours each day, or possibly overnight for a week to ten days. These trays are very comfortable and easy to get used to. You will probably notice your teeth starting to get whiter immediately, but to achieve the long-lasting effect and the degree of whiteness that you desire may take up to 3 – 4 weeks.

Are there any short term side effects?

Some clients experience increased sensitivity immediately after the treatments but these symptoms are easily eradicated with a desensitising toothpaste.

Who is not suitable for teeth whitening?

Smokers should try to stop smoking before having their teeth bleached. Smoking defeats the object of bleaching and nicotine may affect the hydrogen peroxide bleaching gels used during the treatment. However, once you have quit smoking stains can appear drastically diminished and yellowed teeth brightened through teeth whitening.
Pregnant women are advised to wait until after the birth before having any teeth whitening procedures to avoid any potential risks. Any persons under 18 years old cannot have the treatment.

What should I do before my treatment?

You will need to visit your dentist to ensure that you are clincally fit to undergo this procedure.  You will need your teeth scaled and polished no longer than one week before the procedure is carried out.

Zoom! technology requires no after care other than your normal dental routine and the introduction of a desensitising toothpaste should you experience any teeth or gum sensitivity.
